Little Bird -
As the world around us grows more turbulent, so our lives become more fragmented, anxious and disconnected. "Little Bird" is one woman's exploration, through live performance and projection mapping, into where all this chaos begins and what it perpetuates.
House of Cards -
‘House of Cards’ is a contemporary performance born from the prolific album “In Rainbows” by Radiohead. Drawing themes, symbols and ideas from the poetic lyrics within the album; the show explores concepts of impermanence, fate, choice and chance in a visually dynamic show that will leave audience members reflecting on their own journey. The performance follows the paths of two people, and the relationships they form within their lives; be it with strangers, lovers, friends, or each other. ‘House of Cards’ uses shadows, media, physical and textual performance, and the soundtrack of Radiohead’s dynamic album, to highlight the concept that everything in this world is in a constant state of flux. It is an open and interpretive piece of theatre which allows audience members to fill in the gaps and create their own meaning out of what they see, depending on their own life experiences. One life. Two performers. Three sets of cards.
Wake Up -
‘The root of all suffering is called the ‘ego’.’ (Adi Da Samraj).
The ego is the activity of self-contraction, endured unconsciously. This self-contracted state is presumed to be the inevitable condition of life. To become free of this is not really a big job, but actually a very small one. All you need to do is be aware of your thoughts and emotions – as they happen. Or to put it more simply, become conscious. Easy right?
As this world becomes more and more driven by money, power and technology, people are forgetting what is important, ignoring their emotions and becoming disconnected with each other. Wake Up is a contemporary performance exploring the concepts of consciousness and ego. By following the life of one man who seemingly has it all, the audience will be reminded to slow down, listen to themselves, re-evaluate their priorities and ‘wake up’.
